BTC Pipeline Transports Over 14.7 Million Tons of Oil in First Half of 2026

Baku: In January to July 2026, Azerbaijan's trunk pipelines transported a total of 14,773,200 tons of oil, marking an 8.6% reduction compared to the same period the previous year.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) main export oil pipeline handled the majority of this volume, accounting for 76.8% of the total oil transit. A significant portion of the oil transported via the BTC pipeline was domestically extracted, with crude from Azerbaijan making up 82.3% of the total volume, equating to 12,154,700 tons.

The remaining 17.7% of the oil transported through the BTC pipeline was supplied by regional partners, including Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, contributing 26,018,500 tons to the transit volumes.
