Bulgarian President Congratulates Azerbaijani Counterpart on Independence Day

Baku: Iliana Iotova, President of the Republic of Bulgaria, has sent a letter of congratulation to Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter conveys President Iotova's congratulations and best wishes to President Aliyev and the Republic of Azerbaijan. President Iotova expressed her gratitude for the hospitality extended to her and her delegation during the 13th session of the World Urban Forum held in Baku. She highlighted the significance of the forum, which saw participation from more than ten Bulgarian mayors and representatives from Bulgarian educational institutions.

President Iotova also emphasized her satisfaction with the recent bilateral meetings, underscoring the importance of the political dialogue between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan. She reiterated her agreement with President Aliyev on the need to transform political dynamics into practical outcomes, particularly in energy cooperation and the potential for a second energy corridor involving Azerbaijan, Georgia, Trkiye, and Bulgaria. Additionally, she pointed to the importance of partnership in industrial zones, technological parks, and expanding educational and cultural ties.

President Iotova extended an invitation to President Aliyev to visit Bulgaria, expressing her desire to jointly inaugurate Shusha Park in Veliko Tarnovo, symbolizing the friendly relations between the two nations. She concluded her letter by wishing President Aliyev and his family good health and continued success in their endeavors.
