C5+1 Countries Collaborate to Enhance Middle Corridor and TRIPP Connectivity

Washington: The Governments of the United States, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan have issued a joint statement celebrating the tenth anniversary of the C5+1 initiative. This collaboration aims to bolster regional transit connections through the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), enhancing the Middle Corridor’s role in global trade.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the joint statement outlines several objectives, including the development of the Trans-Caspian Trade Route, also known as the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. This initiative seeks to connect the route with TRIPP, aiming to strengthen supply chain connectivity and resilience. The goal is to ensure the secure movement of cargo, information, and energy, benefiting the C5+1 countries and the broader international community.

The statement also emphasizes efforts to harmonize customs regimes, expand aviation connectivity among the C5+1 countries, and reinforce commercial connections. Additionally, the countries aim to support workforce professionalization through educational exchanges, focusing on training in technology, extractive industries, and other high-growth sectors.
