Baku: During the first half of this year, the operational expenditures of the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) amounted to approximately 36 million US dollars, while capital expenditures were around 12 million dollars.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, BP’s report dedicated to the results of its operations in Azerbaijan for the first half of the current year highlighted these financial details.
It was noted that in an annual comparison, operational expenditures during the reporting period decreased by 3.5%, while capital expenditures saw a significant increase of 50%. The SCP pipeline, which was commissioned at the end of 2006, delivers Shah Deniz gas to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Trkiye. The South Caucasus Pipeline Expansion (SCPX) system began delivering commercial gas volumes to Trkiye in June 2018 and to Europe in December 2020.
The report further detailed that during the first six months of the year, the SCP’s average daily throughput capacity for export was 63.1 million cubic meters. The shareholders of the South Caucasus Pipeline Company (SCPC) are BP with a 29.99% stake, Southern Gas Corridor holding 21.02%, LUKOIL with 19.99%, TPAO holding 19.00%, and NIKO with a 10.00% stake.
