Baku: BP’s direct expenditures on local workforce services and materials under contracts with local companies and foreign contractors in the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkiye (AGT) region reached 772.7 million US dollars in the first half of this year, marking a 1.8% increase compared to the previous year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, BP’s report on its operations in Azerbaijan for the first half of the year reveals that the company spent 314.4 million dollars within joint ventures with 15 local enterprises. Furthermore, BP allocated 172.9 million dollars to the in-country expenditures of 71 foreign contractors during this period.
The report also details BP’s investment in small and medium-sized enterprises, totaling 257.5 million dollars for 204 enterprises. Additionally, the expenditures for 33 state-owned companies amounted to 27.9 million dollars.
