Rome: 'The world is experiencing very disturbing situations and events. But, of course, in the current circumstances, we are supposed to be people of peace and strive for peace everywhere,' said Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See, in an interview with journalists during the iftar ceremony organized in Rome on March 9 at the initiative of the Caucasus Muslims Office and the Embassy of Azerbaijan to the Holy See.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Cardinal Parolin emphasized the importance of the iftar ceremony in Rome. He stated, 'I think that such moments could be very useful in this regard, because we bring together people of different religions and cultures, united by the same feelings of love, peace, solidarity, and the will to build a more peaceful and acceptable world. I am very grateful for the opportunity to share these thoughts with the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office and many other religious leaders, as well as reaffirm our commitment to a peaceful present and a more peaceful future.'
