CBA and NBG Forge New Partnership with Memorandum of Understanding


Baku: A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan Taleh Kazimov announced in a post on the X platform.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the signing took place during a meeting where CBA hosted a delegation led by Natia Turnava, the Governor of the National Bank of Georgia. The discussions during the meeting focused on the current state of cooperation between the two institutions and included an exchange of views on matters of mutual interest.



The Memorandum of Understanding aims to enhance the partnership between the central banks and strengthen the financial sectors of both countries. CBA Governor Taleh Kazimov expressed confidence that this collaboration will be long-lasting and successful, marking an important step in the ongoing relationship between Azerbaijan and Georgia’s financial sectors.
