New York: The U.S. stock markets saw significant gains on March 5 as the Dow Jones index rose by 1.14% to 43,006.59 points, the S and P 500 index increased by 1.12% to 5,778.15 points, and the Nasdaq index climbed by 1.46% to 18,552.73 points.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, European stock markets exhibited mixed results on the same day. The FTSE 100 index experienced a slight decrease of 0.04% to 8,755.84 points. In contrast, France’s CAC-40 index saw a rise of 1.56% to 8,173.75 points, and Germany’s DAX index surged by 3.38% to 23,081.03 points.
In currency markets, the euro’s exchange rate against the dollar showed a minor increase of 0.14%, reaching 1.0804 dollars.
