CBA Chairman to Attend World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings in Washington, D.C.

Washington: A delegation led by the Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Taleh Kazimov, has departed for Washington, D.C., United States, on a working visit to participate in the Annual Meetings of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), as reported by CBA to APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Annual Meetings are scheduled to take place from October 13 to 18. The CBA delegation will join the meeting of the Selection Group, which includes Azerbaijan, and will also participate in events attended by finance ministers and central bank governors from the Caucasus, Middle East, and Central Asia. Additionally, the delegation plans to engage in meetings with senior officials of both the WB and IMF.

During the visit, the delegation is anticipated to conduct bilateral meetings and engage in discussions with leaders of several foreign central banks and financial institutions. The Annual Meetings, organized by the WB and IMF, serve as a platform for senior representatives from public and private sectors, international organizations, civil society, and academia to deliberate on global and regional challenges.
