CBA Chairman to Attend World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings in Washington

Washington: A delegation led by the Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Taleh Kazimov, has embarked on a working visit to Washington, D.C., United States, to participate in the Annual Meetings of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Annual Meetings, scheduled from October 13 to 18, will see the participation of the CBA delegation in the meeting of the Selection Group, which includes Azerbaijan. Additionally, the meetings will feature events attended by finance ministers and central bank governors from the Caucasus, Middle East, and Central Asia countries. The delegation aims to engage in discussions with senior officials from the WB and IMF.

During the visit, the delegation plans to conduct bilateral meetings and hold discussions with the heads of several foreign central banks and financial institutions. These engagements aim to foster international cooperation and address relevant financial issues.

The Annual Meetings organized by the WB and IMF gather senior representatives from the public and private sectors, international organizations, civil society, and academia to deliberate on global and regional challenges.
