Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) established prices for insurance products sold within the framework of “Green Card” insurance system.
This decision was signed by CBA chairman Taleh Kazimov.
According to the resolution, to receive a “Green Card”” Azerbaijani drivers travelling to Turkey and Iran will have to pay insurance payments in the amount of AZN 12 to 440, while Azerbaijani drivers travelling to Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine – AZN 10 to 400 and Azerbaijani drivers travelling to other countries – AZN 30 to-1.200.
Prices have also been set for the ‘Green Card’ that Azerbaijan will sell to drivers from Georgia and Kazakhstan. If the citizens of these countries travel to Turkey, Iran, Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, they will be charged an insurance fee from AZN 15 to 1,630, and if they travel to other countries – from AZN 30 to 2,389. The exact amount of the insurance fee depends on the period of validity of the “Green Card”, type of car etc.
The decision shall enter into force from 1 January 2023
