Baku: bp, the operator of the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) field development project, has announced the successful completion of the planned maintenance programme (turnaround - TAR) on the Central Azeri platform. The maintenance, which commenced on August 19, was initially scheduled for an 11-day duration but has concluded ahead of schedule, as confirmed by bp to AZERTAC.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, all activities within the programme were executed safely. The production process is currently being ramped up to reach its pre-maintenance levels. The scope of the programme encompassed several critical tasks, including integrity and maintenance work, flare system upgrades, reliability improvement initiatives, and anomaly elimination activities.

Additionally, the maintenance programme supported the Central Azeri Gas Expansion (CAGE) project, which aims to enhance gas reinjection capacity on the platform. This enhancement is intended to maximize recovery from existing wells. These planned maintenance activities are crucial for ensuring the long-term reliability and performance of the facility and are a standard practice at all bp-operated sites in the region.
