Azerbaijan Food and Beverage Industry Strengthens Ties with Tajikistan Through New Agreements

Baku: The Export and Investment Promotion Agency of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) took a significant step in fostering international cooperation by participating in the inaugural International Food Industry Forum and Food Industry Exhibition in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The event served as a platform for industry leaders to discuss potential collaborations and advancements in the food sector.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, AZPROMO's Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev highlighted the forum's role in enhancing food processing capabilities, expanding export opportunities, and reinforcing food security. The plenary session underlined the strategic importance of the food industry in diversifying Azerbaijan's non-oil and gas sectors. A representative from AZPROMO further elaborated on investment prospects and the adoption of innovative production technologies during a panel session.

The AZPROMO delegation underscored Azerbaijan's agricultural raw material base, robust transport infrastructure, and the development of industrial zones and agroparks as key enablers for fostering cooperation in the food industry. The discussions at the forum centered around potential partnerships between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, focusing on agricultural product processing, technology utilization, and mutual supply opportunities.

A significant outcome of the forum was the signing of two cooperation documents by the Azerbaijan Food and Beverage Industrialists Association (AFBIA) with Tajikistan's State Unitary Enterprise 'Khurokvori' and 'Kishvari Sabz' LLC, both under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies. These agreements mark a step forward in strengthening economic ties and collaborative efforts between the two nations in the food and beverage sector.

The AZPROMO delegation also explored the exhibition that accompanied the forum, gaining insights into the latest developments and innovations in the food industry.
