Central Bank of Azerbaijan Unveils Redesigned 100-Manat Banknote

Baku: The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has introduced a redesigned 100-manat banknote into circulation, equipped with state-of-the-art security features. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, citing the CBA, the new banknote exemplifies the latest advancements in security technology.

The revamped 100-manat banknote includes a color-shifting hologram with a three-dimensional micro-mirror effect, along with the innovative Spark Flow Prime element, which showcases a color-changing manat symbol accompanied by a dynamic light effect. Additionally, the banknote features a watermark that displays the State Emblem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the denomination when held up to light. For visually impaired persons, tactile recognition marks are present, with raised lines on both edges of the front side, allowing users to validate the banknote's authenticity and denomination by touch. The banknote also boasts a vertical reverse-side design, a security thread, intaglio printing, microtext, and other sophisticated security elements.

The redesigned banknote bears the signature of the Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Taleh Kazimov, positioned in the upper left corner of the front side. The new 100-manat banknote is set to circulate alongside the existing banknote of the same denomination and will remain valid as legal tender without restrictions. The CBA has also released images showcasing both the front and reverse sides of the redesigned banknote.
