Baku: The formation of a peaceful environment in the South Caucasus will further strengthen relations between Turkic states and Trkiye, stated Vice President of Trkiye Cevdet Yilmaz in a statement to journalists in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Yilmaz highlighted the importance of increasing trade among Turkic states through the simplification of customs procedures, expansion of transport opportunities, and new trade agreements. He noted that the current share of intra-trade among these countries is just over 6%, with ambitions to raise this figure.

Yilmaz expressed hopes to maintain stability without being involved in regional tensions, emphasizing the importance of continued development. He praised the leadership of President of Trkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, describing them as experienced and determined leaders whose roles are crucial in such challenging times.
