Chairman of AzerGold CJSC Meets Kyrgyz Ambassador to Discuss Strategic Partnerships

Baku: Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC, Zakir Ibrahimov, held a meeting with Maksat Mamytkanov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Azerbaijan. The meeting emphasized the strong cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan and the recent growth in intergovernmental collaborations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Mr. Ibrahimov provided insights into AzerGold CJSC’s diverse operations, recent achievements, and strategic objectives. He highlighted the company’s commitment to environmental protection while exporting precious metals globally. AzerGold CJSC is noted for its leadership in non-oil export operations. Discussions on potential mining projects in Central Asia, including partnership opportunities, were also initiated.

Ambassador Mamytkanov expressed Kyrgyzstan’s interest in collaborating with Azerbaijan, particularly in the exploration and management of non-ferrous metal deposits. He noted Kyrgyzstan’s substantial reserves of iron ore and other non-ferrous metals, suggesting that a partnership with AzerGold CJSC would be advantageous for both countries.

The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing that future cooperation would enhance economic relations and advance the extraction and processing of natural resources. Discussions also focused on mutual investment opportunities and the formation of a long-term strategic partnership.
