Chairman of Caucasus Office Hosts Iftar Ceremony Celebrating Ramadan

Baku: Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade hosted an Iftar ceremony on March 4 to mark the holy month of Ramadan at his residence.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event was attended by Leyla Aliyeva, Arzu Aliyeva, and heads of various religious confessions. The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a collective Ramadan prayer.

Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade addressed the gathering, emphasizing the spiritual significance of Ramadan and highlighting the strong state-religion relations in Azerbaijan. He pointed out the country's exemplary religious tolerance and its commitment to advocating Islamic values and interests globally. He also noted Azerbaijan's significant contributions to Islamic solidarity and its firm opposition to Islamophobia.

Speakers from various religious confessions and other guests commended Azerbaijan's efforts in promoting interfaith and intercultural dialogue on a global scale. They praised the country's unique and exemplary model of peaceful coexistence.

The ceremony concluded with an Iftar meal for all participants.
