Charles Michel: Costa’s Visit Will Help Define Priorities in EU-Azerbaijan Partnership

Baku: 'Coordination and cooperation are possible between Azerbaijan and the EU in areas where there are shared interests," said former President of the European Council Charles Michel, APA reports. Touching upon cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan, Michel emphasized that productive steps have been taken in this direction.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Michel highlighted the significance of Ant³nio Costa's recent visit to Azerbaijan, where he met with the president. He expressed confidence that these meetings and discussions will help define priorities both in Azerbaijan and in Europe and determine which projects can be implemented together and what common interests exist.

Michel also referred to the new framework document being prepared between Azerbaijan and the EU. He pointed out the importance of recognizing and accepting differences on certain issues, while emphasizing that such differences do not preclude coordination and cooperation on matters of shared interest.
