Chief of General Staff of Azerbaijan Army Visits Saudi Arabia

Baku: The delegation of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan led by First Deputy Minister, Chief of the General Staff, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, left for an official visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Chief of General Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, the Ministry of Defense told APA. Pursuant to the program of official visit, Colonel General Karim Valiyev is scheduled to hold a number of meetings with the military leadership of the Kingdom, as well as visit the Islamic Military Counterterrorism Coalition Center.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the visit underscores the strategic military ties between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia. The meetings are expected to cover a wide range of issues, aimed at enhancing defense cooperation and exploring collaborative opportunities in military training and counterterrorism efforts.
