Baku: China will continue to provide support to Azerbaijan in humanitarian demining, as stated by Shen Zhang, Counsellor of the Department of Arms Control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. Shen made this announcement during his speech at the 4th International Mine Action Conference held in Baku.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, last year, the governments of China and Azerbaijan signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral humanitarian cooperation. Shen Zhang also mentioned that, as part of this agreement, China has provided financial assistance of 2 million yuan to Azerbaijan.
