Baku: China Visitors Summit opens new opportunities for Azerbaijani tourism, said Alexander Glos, CEO of ‘China i2i Group’, at the ‘China Visitors Summit’ held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Alexander Glos highlighted the participation of 51 tourism companies from China in this year’s summit. The event provided a significant platform for face-to-face meetings between these companies and tourism suppliers from various regions of Azerbaijan. Glos remarked that the China Visitors Summit serves not only as a venue for establishing business relationships but also as a learning environment for understanding the dynamics of the Chinese tourism market.
Glos pointed out that China is currently one of the largest outbound tourism markets globally, with over 200 million Chinese citizens holding foreign passports. The annual global tourism spending by Chinese tourists exceeds $200 billion. He emphasized the potential for finding suitable tourist flows from the Chinese market for any tourism service or hotel in Azerbaijan.
