Baku: Azerbaijani Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev has announced plans to introduce SAF as a separate subject in the educational curriculum from next year. This announcement was made during the opening ceremony of the International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Amrullayev highlighted the significant growth of the STEAM project in the country, noting a more than 50-fold increase in the number of participating schoolchildren since its inception. He emphasized that the SAF festival is marking its 5th anniversary and has impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis. Currently, the SAF initiative engages over 500,000 schoolchildren and is expanding annually.

Minister Amrullayev expressed confidence that SAF will transition from a project to an integral part of the national education system. Plans are underway to introduce SAF as a separate subject in schools starting next year, and the program will also be implemented at Karabakh University. This development represents a significant step in integrating innovative educational practices within Azerbaijan’s educational framework.
