Chinese TV Channel Airs AZERTAC Reportage on Rising Employment in Azerbaijan

Beijing: China Global Television Network (CGTN), operated by China Media Group and China Central Television, has broadcast a report by Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC). The report, entitled 'Azerbaijan rolls out financial, digital measures to boost employment,' emphasizes that Azerbaijan is implementing a series of policies to increase employment, including financial assistance, vocational training, and digital support measures.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, key statistical indicators from the past year, as well as the self-employment program implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, were highlighted in the report. It noted that, within the framework of the Azerbaijan Employment Support Project implemented with financial support from the World Bank, families of martyrs, war veterans, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons, recipients of targeted social assistance, women, youth, and other individuals from vulnerable groups have been involved in the self-employment program. These measures have created broader access to the formal labor market and decent employment opportunities.

The report also mentioned that the State Employment Agency organizes vocational training courses for unskilled job seekers. It was emphasized that access to these services has significantly expanded due to the extensive digitalization program carried out in Azerbaijan's social sector. More than 90 percent of the services provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population are delivered digitally.

As a result of these measures, Azerbaijan's unemployment rate has declined to 5.2 percent.
