Special Representative: EU Ready to Advance Updated Cooperation Agreement with Azerbaijan

Brussels: Brussels is ready and willing to make progress on the updated cooperation agreement between the European Union and Azerbaijan, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono, said in an interview with APA. Grono stated that the time has come to finalize joint work on the document, which has been under discussion for several years.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Grono emphasized the importance of resuming negotiations on the agreement, highlighting the EU's commitment to strengthening its relationship with Azerbaijan. The cooperation agreement has been a topic of significant interest, with both parties eager to reach a consensus and move forward.

"We hope that we will be able to resume negotiations soon," Grono expressed, underlining the EU's readiness to engage in constructive dialogue to reach a mutually beneficial agreement. The updated cooperation agreement is expected to address various aspects of bilateral relations, including economic collaboration and political cooperation.
