City Tour Highlights Closing Ceremony of ‘CIS Cultural Capital – 2025’ in Lachin

Lachin: A city tour was organized in Lachin as part of the closing ceremony of ‘CIS Cultural Capital – 2025,’ APA’s correspondent dispatched to Lachin reports. The event brought together representatives from several countries, marking the conclusion of a cultural celebration.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the tour commenced at the ‘Hochazfilm’ creative studio, where guests were introduced to the filming platforms and briefed on the studio’s activities. This visit allowed attendees to gain insights into the creative processes and the cultural contributions of the studio.

Following the studio tour, participants visited the ‘Gilabi Creative Center’ and the ‘Yurdu Gallery.’ Here, they were treated to a display of handmade clay works, traditional carpets, and an art exhibition, showcasing the region’s rich artistic heritage.

The closing ceremony saw the participation of representatives from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Tajikistan. This diverse attendance highlighted the importance of cultural cooperation among CIS member states.

It is noteworthy that the designation of Lachin as the ‘CIS Cultural Capital’ for 2025 was based on a decision by the CIS Council for Humanitarian Cooperation, dated October 8, 2024. This recognition underscores Lachin’s cultural significance within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
