Baku: The TRT and TRT Spor channels have secured the broadcasting rights for the FIFA Club World Cup matches, scheduled to be held in the USA from June 15 to July 13, 2025. These rights are exclusively for the territory of the Republic of Trkiye, as confirmed by Taleh Guliyev, Head of the Communication Sector of the Audiovisual Council, in response to an inquiry from APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Guliyev explained that the broadcasting rights for the matches within Azerbaijan have been acquired by local broadcasters. He stated that, in line with international practice, foreign channels’ broadcasts are suspended during the airing of matches when exclusive broadcasting rights are in place. This approach was similarly applied during the broadcasts of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2024 UEFA European Championship matches.
