Claudia Baranzelli: Azerbaijan Will Soon Join The OECD Local Data Portal

Baku: Azerbaijan is set to join the OECD Local Data Portal, as announced during the 13th UN World Urban Forum (WUF13). The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is launching this new portal focused on cities, which presents urban data and indicators. Initially, the portal includes OECD member and candidate countries, but there are plans to expand it to non-member countries, including Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Claudia Baranzelli, Coordinator of the Geospatial Analysis team and the Geospatial Lab at the OECD's Centre for Entrepreneurship, shared this development. The aim is to expand cooperation to include Azerbaijan, integrating it into the OECD portal. This platform provides city data and indicators across key policy areas and supports the visualization of urban trends. Baranzelli highlighted WUF13 as an important platform for cooperation.
