Ankara: The Deputy Minister of Defense and Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Namig Islamzade, is currently on an official visit to Trkiye. As part of his visit, Lieutenant General Islamzade attended the 'Anatolian Eagle - 2026' international tactical-flight exercise, participating in several events and meeting with military personnel involved.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency,Colonel Zaur Mammadov, head of the Azerbaijani delegation, provided a briefing to the Air Force Commander on the exercise's progress and the tasks assigned to the personnel. Lieutenant General Islamzade expressed his commendation for the professionalism displayed by the participants in the exercise.
In a subsequent meeting, Lieutenant General Namig Islamzade convened with the Commander of the Turkish Air Force, Army General Ziya Cemal Kadioglu. The discussions focused on the current status and future potential of military aviation cooperation between Azerbaijan and Trkiye. The two leaders emphasized the significance of joint exercises and the mutual benefits of experience exchange.
After conducting an aerial observation of the exercise activities, the Air Force Commanders from both nations toured an exhibition arranged within the exercise framework. They explored various displays showcasing military weapons and equipment, reinforcing the collaborative spirit between the two countries.
