Baku:People have been gathering at the Second Alley of Martyrs since morning to honor those who died in Azerbaijan's Patriotic War. According to Azeri-Press news agency, the commemoration is part of events marking Remembrance Day. Relatives of the fallen, along with officials, public representatives, and citizens, are visiting the site to pay their respects by laying wreaths and flowers at the graves. The Patriotic War, which lasted 44 days, began on September 27, 2020. This conflict resulted in Azerbaijan reclaiming its territories in Karabakh. President Ilham Aliyev decreed on December 2, 2020, that September 27 would be observed annually as Remembrance Day in Azerbaijan. This observance honors the soldiers and officers who fought and sacrificed their lives for the country's territorial integrity, as well as all Azerbaijani martyrs.
