Baku: In January 2026, the total value of production in Azerbaijan's mining industry amounted to 2.7 billion manats, reflecting a 2.4% increase compared to the same month of the previous year, the State Statistical Committee informed APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, commercial oil production totaled 2.2 million tons, while commercial natural gas production reached 3.4 billion cubic meters. The report highlighted a 2.3% decrease in commercial oil production compared to the previous year, whereas commercial gas production saw an 8.7% increase.

The data further detailed that during the reporting period, Azerbaijan produced a total of 2,252.4 thousand tons of oil and 4,274.2 million cubic meters of gas. This represents a 2.4% decline in oil production and a 7.4% increase in gas production on an annual basis.
