Committee Chairman Highlights Effective Representation of Azerbaijan on International Platforms

An Azerbaijani delegation, led by Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, alongside Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Mexico, Seymur Fataliyev, and embassy staff, paid homage to the victims of the Khojaly Genocide by visiting the dedicated monument in Tlaxcoaque-Khojaly Square, Mexico City. They laid a wreath at the monument to honor the memory of those who perished.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the delegation's visit included a meeting with Azerbaijanis residing in Mexico. Commencing with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Mexico, attendees observed a minute of silence for those who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. The gathering featured a film showcasing speeches by President Ilham Aliyev.

Ambassador Seymur Fataliyev addressed the assembly, underscoring Azerbaijan's swift development and its diaspora policy. He praised the Azerbaijani community in Mexico for their role in enhancing cultura l and social connections between the two nations. Committee Chairman Fuad Muradov highlighted the priority given to Azerbaijanis abroad by the state, noting their successful integration and effective representation of Azerbaijan on international stages.

The significance of the memorandum between Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Institute for Mexicans Abroad was emphasized, focusing on its role in fostering cooperation and initiating new projects. CUESEG University lecturer Gunel Naghiyeva expressed pride in Azerbaijan's accomplishments and their impact on Azerbaijanis abroad.
