Baku: A total of 507 applications have been received from companies in 39 countries regarding projects in Azerbaijan's liberated territories, APA reports. This was reflected in the 'Report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025,' which was discussed at today's session of the Milli Majlis.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, as of January 1, 2026, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) received 4,155 applications from entrepreneurs regarding the liberated territories. Of these applications, 3,648 were submitted by local applicants and 507 by foreign companies representing 39 countries.
A total of 3,051 applications were related to investment projects, 631 concerned works and services, and 473 were other citizen appeals. The report highlights that 98% of the investment projects were local, and 2% were foreign. About 60% of them were in trade and services, 17% in agriculture, 14% in industry, and 9% in other sectors.
Among the proposals related to works and services, 32% were submitted by local applicants and 68% by foreign companies. Overall, 69% of the applications were related to construction works, 15% to trade and services, 11% to industry, and 5% to other sectors.
Applications submitted by individuals and legal entities regarding entrepreneurial activity in the liberated territories were analyzed and classified by sector, administrative district, investment amount, and other indicators, and the proposals of potential business entities were submitted to relevant authorities for consideration.
