Baku: One of the most important outcomes of the Washington Summit was the laying of the foundation for the Zangezur corridor, stated Prime Minister Ali Asadov during the presentation of the 'Report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2025,' APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the summit meeting held in Washington on August 8, 2025, with the participation of the leaders of Azerbaijan, the United States, and Armenia, facilitated the shaping of new geopolitical realities in the region. This development has created favorable conditions for achieving sustainable peace and development.
The Washington Peace Summit also laid the groundwork for the 'Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity' (TRIPP) - the Zangezur corridor. This multimodal route aims to ensure unhindered connectivity between the mainland of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, while simultaneously serving to diversify international transport and transit routes passing through Azerbaijan.
