Conference on Circular Green Tourism in CICA Countries Kicks Off in Baku

Baku: A conference on 'Circular Green Tourism in the CICA Countries,' jointly organized by the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency and the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), commenced in Baku.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the conference brings together the CICA Secretariat and delegations from member states, including Trkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Mongolia, India, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, and Palestine. The representatives aim to foster collaboration and dialogue on enhancing sustainable tourism practices across the region.

The event will focus on several key initiatives, including the establishment of tourism villages and support for local initiatives. Additionally, it will explore grant and training programs designed to empower local communities. By investing in nature-based tourism products, the conference seeks to create new opportunities for local communities, promoting both economic growth and environmental sustainability.
