Baku: Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of the Energy Regulatory Agency (ERA), met with a World Bank delegation led by Stefanie Stallmeister, Country Manager for Azerbaijan. The meeting focused on consultations regarding gas supply reforms in Azerbaijan, as well as current tariff mechanisms.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the parties also reviewed the prospects for potential investments from the World Bank and other financial institutions to support Azerbaijan's ongoing efforts to reduce methane emissions. These efforts specifically include the modernization of the country's gas infrastructure.

The discussions emphasized the importance of exploring new avenues for cooperation and strengthening the partnership between Azerbaijan and the World Bank to support sustainable energy goals.
