Aktau: Container traffic along the Aktau-Baku-Aktau route has experienced a significant growth of 15%, according to recent reports. Last year, Kazmortransflot, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan's national company KazMunayQaz (KMG), successfully transported 59.4 thousand containers, measured in twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU), on this feeder route.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this increase represents a notable rise from 2024's figures, which recorded a shipment volume of 51.4 thousand TEU. The rise in container traffic is attributed to the increasing demand for transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, also known as the Middle Corridor.

Kazmortransflot's statement highlights the importance of this growth, emphasizing the company's key role in maintaining reliable maritime logistics. The increase in transportation volumes underscores Kazmortransflot's contribution to diversifying export and transit routes and enhancing multimodal transport connections between Asia and Europe.
