Baku: Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev received a delegation of the Directorate of Communications of the Presidential Administration of Trkiye as part of its visit to Azerbaijan, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting focused on cooperation in the fields of communication, media, and public diplomacy, highlighting the deep-rooted brotherhood and strategic alliance between Trkiye and Azerbaijan. The discussions emphasized the importance of institutional cooperation in strategic communication developed between the two nations. An exchange of views was conducted on the global communication environment, combating disinformation, and enhancing public diplomacy activities. The talks also centered on strengthening Trkiye and Azerbaijan's communication capabilities aimed at the international community regarding shared issues.

The significance of strategic communication in regional processes and in ensuring lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus was underscored. The strong solidarity between Trkiye and Azerbaijan was noted as being crucial not only for bilateral relations but also for regional cooperation and stability.

The parties stressed the importance of elevating Trkiye-Azerbaijan relations in communication to a higher level, in line with the spirit of alliance defined by the slogan 'Two states, one nation' and the Shusha Declaration. Trkiye's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Professor Birol Akgun, was also present at the meeting. Views were exchanged on continuing contacts and joint activities between the relevant institutions of both countries.

During the meeting, an invitation from Professor Burhanettin Duran, Head of the Directorate of Communications of the Presidential Administration of Trkiye, for Hikmat Hajiyev to visit Trkiye was conveyed.
