COP29 Organizers Hold Climate Workshops for Baku Students


BAKU: In a bid to foster environmental awareness and action among younger generations, the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company conducted a series of sustainability workshops for secondary school students in Baku. These sessions were designed to highlight the importance of eco-conscious decisions and underscore the role of individuals in addressing climate change.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the workshops targeted eighth and ninth grade students from various schools in the capital, focusing on educating them about the challenges posed by climate change. The sessions provided detailed insights into the Sustainable Development Goals, international climate initiatives, and agreements, as well as their implications for global climate policy.

During the workshops, COP29 representatives emphasized the significance of the upcoming COP29 conference in Baku and its potential impact on the climate agenda. Students were encouraged to participate in an interactive question-and-answer session and engaging activi
ties aimed at promoting proactive climate action among the youth.
