Baku: The detention period of Saleh Samadov, former chairman of the Imishli District Council of Elders, has been extended, APA reports. A motion submitted by the investigative body was reviewed at the Sabail District Court.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the court's decision has resulted in the pre-trial detention measure against Saleh Samadov being extended by three months. Samadov is facing accusations under Article 179.3.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It is noted that Saleh Samadov was detained by the State Security Service and was dismissed from his position as chairman of the Imishli District Council of Elders on May 13 last year.
