Baku: The final court hearing on the criminal case against Khagani Omarov, Anar Salamzade, and Elchin Azizov, accused of financing terrorism, has concluded at the Baku Court on Grave Crimes. The verdict was announced by Judge Nigar Imanova, sentencing Khagani Omarov to 10 years and 6 months, Anar Salamzade to 11 years, and Elchin Azizov to 10 years of imprisonment.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the individuals were detained following an operation by the State Security Service (SSS). The investigation revealed that the defendants had transferred financial funds to individuals in a foreign country to support terrorism. They were charged under Article 214-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which pertains to financing terrorism.
