Lachin: It has been proposed to create a unified center for combating crime within the CIS, said Yuri Nikolayevich Zhdanov, Executive Secretary of the CIS Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS Member States, at the international conference organized by the Prosecutor General's Office in Lachin, APA reports. He emphasized the need for collective efforts to address the challenges posed by illegal activities, including narcotic trafficking, smuggling, and property rights violations.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Zhdanov highlighted the importance of combating crime in cyberspace, affecting citizens, corporations, and states irrespective of their financial status. He underscored the necessity of uniting efforts to share successful experiences and information, as well as fostering mutual professional development among prosecutorial staff of CIS member states.
Zhdanov proposed the establishment of a unified center that would enable colleagues to study various countries' legislation and practices in crime fighting. This initiative aims to enhance cooperation and effectiveness in addressing the complex challenges faced by the CIS in maintaining law and order.
