Credit Investments Surge in Azerbaijani Economy by Over AZN 2 Billion

Baku: Credit investments in Azerbaijan's economy have seen a significant rise, exceeding AZN 2 billion. As of December 1, 2025, the total credit investments, encompassing both banks and non-bank institutions, reached 31 billion 451.1 million manats.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan indicates an increase of 8.2%, or 2 billion 384.3 million manats, compared to November 1, 2024. This growth highlights a robust expansion in the credit sector over the past year.

During this period, credit investments by state-owned banks amounted to 7 billion 635.2 million manats. Private banks contributed significantly, with investments totaling 22 billion 50.3 million manats, while non-bank credit organizations accounted for 1 billion 765.5 million manats.

The report further reveals that as of the reporting date, the volume of banks' loan portfolios stood at 29 billion 685.5 million manats. This includes 15 billion 804.8 million manats in business loans, 9 billion 318.8 million manats in consumer loans, and 4 billion 561.9 million manats in mortgage loans.
