Baku: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with a delegation from the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations during their visit to Azerbaijan. The delegation was led by Betsy Berns Korn, the Chair of the Conference, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting covered discussions on the current state and future development of Azerbaijan's relations with both the United States and Israel. The talks also included cooperation with Jewish organizations operating in the United States, as well as discussions on the regional situation. Detailed information was provided about recent regional developments following the August 8 Washington Summit, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, regional connectivity, efforts to implement the TRIPP route, and measures being taken in the post-conflict period.
The discussions also highlighted the traditions of interfaith harmony, tolerance, and multiculturalism in Azerbaijan. The delegation expressed satisfaction with the peaceful coexistence of people of various faiths, including Christians, Jews, and Muslims, in Azerbaijan. The enduring presence of the Jewish community, which has thrived in Azerbaijan for centuries, was noted as a contributing factor to the strong partnership between Azerbaijan and Israel.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other topics of mutual interest.
