Turkmenbashi:President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the need to evaluate the long-term effects of ongoing environmental changes during his address at the Caspian Environmental Summit.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev stated that the decline in the Caspian Sea level is not solely attributable to climate change. He pointed out that reduced river inflow and human activities related to economic development are also significant contributors.
He emphasized the importance of considering these factors in decision-making processes to implement timely measures that could mitigate the impact of further sea level decline. President Aliyev expressed confidence that existing legal frameworks, scientific expertise, and collaborative efforts lay a strong foundation for achieving tangible results.
