Baku: The Ministry of Defense and the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan have signed a joint action plan for 2026 titled 'Activities of the Ombudsman Institution on the Protection of Servicemen's Rights,' as well as measures related to studying the state of human rights protection, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the plan outlines the dates, venues, and responsible persons for the events scheduled for 2026. The action plan is designed to organize events across various types of troops (forces), army corps, formations, and military units, including special educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense.
During these events, meetings will focus on the protection of the rights of military personnel and the state of human rights. Reports on different topics will be presented, and personnel will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers regarding their rights and human rights protection in general.
