Delegation of Mangystau Region of Kazakhstan Engages with TURKPA on Cooperation

Baku: A delegation from the Mangystau Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, comprising young deputies and active youth leaders, visited the International Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) during their visit to Baku. The visit focused on strengthening ties and exploring cooperation among Turkic states.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Secretary General of TURKPA, Ambassador Ramil Hasan, welcomed the delegation and informed them about the Secretariat's activities. He underscored the significance of Turkic cooperation, noting TURKPA's role since 2008 in enhancing political, economic, and cultural collaboration among Turkic states. Ambassador Hasan discussed upcoming economic initiatives aimed at integration for sustainable development and mentioned the cultural efforts by the Turkic Academy to promote linguistic unity, highlighting parliamentary coordination's role in Kazakhstan's reform agenda.

Berik Bilyalov, the head of the Mangystau delegation and Chairman of the Munaily District Maslikhat, expressed gratitude for the reception and stressed the importance of a robust legislative system for regional development. He pointed out the crucial role of digitalization in promoting economic integration throughout the Turkic region.

The meeting included discussions on joint events supported by TURKPA to enhance inter-parliamentary cooperation and exchanged views on Kazakhstan's ongoing political reforms, including the shift towards a unicameral parliamentary structure. The meeting was attended by several key figures, including Deputy Secretary General Talgat Aulov and other officials.
