Copenhagen: Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, Fuad Muradov, convened with Azerbaijani expatriates residing in Denmark during a significant gathering in Copenhagen on November 3. This notable event marked the first large-scale meeting of its kind in Denmark, facilitating an exchange of views on various matters.

According to Trend News Agency, the community members expressed their deep appreciation for organizing such an event in Denmark. M. Aliyeva, Chairperson of the Danish-Azerbaijani society ‘Vatan’, highlighted that the Azerbaijani community in Denmark comprises 320 individuals, with 150 attending this pivotal meeting. T. Mahmudova, spouse of the late head of the ‘Vatan’ Azerbaijan Society Safar Sadigi, emphasized the respect and attention accorded to Azerbaijanis in Denmark.

N. Safar Sadigi, a member of the ‘Vatan’ society, underscored the benefits of these gatherings, which focus on fostering unity among compatriots. Engineer Z. Farzaliyev remarked on the meetings’ role in promoti
ng Azerbaijan’s image globally and showcasing unity, expressing hope for their continuation.

F. Ismayilova, a board member of the ‘Vatan’ society, noted the regularity of such meetings with compatriots, stating, “This is our first meeting with the State Committee for Work with Diaspora. We believe that such meetings will continue and ‘Azerbaijani House’ will be opened in Denmark.”

Deputy Chairman A. Huseynov shared insights into the keen interest shown by Azerbaijanis and public activists from various regions in Denmark. Huseynov expressed a collective desire to establish an ‘Azerbaijani House’ to facilitate Azerbaijani language studies.

Pensioner N. Hasanov expressed hopes for more frequent meetings, while physician D. Mammadova highlighted the importance of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora’s support for the society’s endeavors.
