Baku: The broad application of artificial intelligence is planned both in public administration and across various sectors of the economy, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samaddin Asadov revealed in an interview with APA-Economics. The deputy minister emphasized that the primary goal in public administration is to enhance decision-making accuracy, organize management processes more efficiently and transparently, and improve the quality of services provided to citizens.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, data management mechanisms are being refined, and the implementation of Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies is expanding. Initially, these technologies are planned to be tested in five pilot public services. Concrete results have already been achieved, as demonstrated by the launch of the 'E-qanun.ai' platform last year. This AI-based solution, developed through cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Ministry of Justice, enables effective searches within legal documents and legislative databases, automated text analysis, and provides prompt responses to users. The platform exemplifies the practical application of NLP technologies as outlined in the strategy.
In the economic sphere, priority sectors for the application of artificial intelligence are being identified. Agriculture, healthcare, transport, and education are among the key areas selected for AI integration. The overarching objective is to transform artificial intelligence into a practical tool that generates real economic and social value while boosting productivity, the deputy minister stated.
