Baku: The formation of competitive human capital has been identified as a key priority of state policy in Azerbaijan, as stated by Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Hasanov. He made this announcement at the closing ceremony of IT SkillSprint, an international educational program focused on digital skills at higher education institutions, held in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Hasanov elaborated on the nation's strategic focus, pointing to the 'Action Plan for 2026-2028 on Accelerating Digital Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan.' This plan emphasizes aligning educational programs in information and communication technologies, artificial intelligence, and information security across various education levels with current labor market demands. The plan also includes integrating international certification programs into the teaching process as a key measure.

Hasanov highlighted that the Innovation and Digital Development Agency is implementing numerous educational initiatives to support this approach. He emphasized the development of a sustainable link between education, practical experience, and employment. A primary goal is to ensure that students engage in real projects to become specialists prepared for the labor market. The 'Hire and Train' model is also being applied, promoting personnel training aligned with industry needs. This model involves training local specialists with the assistance of international technology companies and engaging them in specific projects, aiming to strengthen the connection between education and the labor market.
