Baku: Developing competitive human capital is a central focus of state policy, emphasized Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Hasanov during the "IT SkillSprint" program's closing ceremony. The international educational initiative, aimed at enhancing digital skills, was hosted across various higher education institutions.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Deputy Minister Hasanov highlighted the profound impact of rapid digital transformation on the global economy, labor market, and public administration. He stressed the necessity for nations to cultivate highly skilled and competitive human capital to maintain their economic competitiveness. Hasanov underlined that this objective is a core priority of the country's state policy.

He further elaborated on the strategic goal of ensuring students engage in practical, real-world projects to prepare them for the labor market. The "Hire and Train" model, which aligns workforce training with industry requirements, is being implemented as part of this strategy. This approach involves training local specialists in collaboration with international technology companies and integrating them into specific projects. The initiative aims to strengthen the connection between education and the labor market, ensuring a workforce equipped to meet industry demands.
